Wise as serpents

Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:6)

Been just observing human behaviour generally...politics in action.

There are two trees. The tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

We're different. Got the favour of God and the mind of Christ. We don't have to super-analyse and dissect and discern the person's intentions and try to second guess them.

We have the tree of life; we are Christians, that doesn't mean we are naive. It's amazing how Abba allows me to observe some things.. that matter. At the same time, he shields me from some other things that I may become unduly worried about.

So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light. "And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home. He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. (Luke 16:8-10)

This came from absurd notion, even then, that money is evil. It's the love of money, not money. Our daddy-God owns the cattle on a thousand hills... :) If Abba is rich, then how can we His children be poor? Christ was made poor on the cross so that we can inherit the blessings, which includes prosperity.
